Today 550,547 Youths in the UK Were Bullied

69% of British teenagers experience bullying before the age of 18 but did you know that 24% of them self harm and 17% truant from school or college in fear of bullies? This means that currently, 589,872 British teenagers have self harmed and 417,826 have truanted all become of one thing: bullying.

We are one of the UK’s most ambitious and bold anti-bullying charities, working to reduce the prominence and effect of bullying within our education system. We work with schools and colleges with our research and consultancy services and also work directly with both the victims of bullying and the bullies themselves. We operate the first ever and largest peer-to-peer bullying support community and are hoping to integrate our own professional one-to-one online counselling service in the near future.

In the past few months alone, our progress has been overwhelming. We recently spoke with over 2,200 British teenagers about their experiences of bullying and provided support consultancy that went on to impact over 30,000 British teens. Our peer-to-peer support network now has 34,000 members and our website receives thousands of hits each week but that isn’t enough. Bullying has never been such an important issue. Can you help us?

Current funding priorities:

Peer-to-Peer support network software update
140/140 £ Raised

Poster and print material for schools and colleges
20/350 £ Raised

Peer-to-Peer support network redesign and redevelopment
0/5,000 £ Raised

We are currently in the process of applying for grants so that we can do even more to support and outreach to different youth communities within the UK. Our proposal includes the employment of a full-time counsellor, a smartphone bullying support application, increased outreach and involvement with schools and colleges and more help and support content to be distributed online and offline.
